Shaw Festival 2006 Comments and Reviews-Love Among the Russians
steve 2006-07-29 14:02
The Shaw brochure tells us that Chekhov said: "'When they find out I write vaudevilles they will excommunicate me!' Years before he was a celebrated dramatist, Chekhov was a popular farceur, and in these two hilarious glimpses of love and courtship, we see, as in his later great plays, his affection for peoples’ foibles and his deep understanding of the human heart."
Will you like this play? Professional reviews are available online and in the media once the show is officially open. However, in our experience, many critics often write reviews that do not match at all with the reaction of our guests. So, for a more candid reaction, we are asking for comments and reviews from the people who visit us! Jane and I go to all the plays and we will post as soon as we have attended. You too can post your overall rating about the play on a scale of 0 to 4 stars, along with any comments you may have. Visit the Love Among the Russians Shaw page for information and the play schedule. Hilarious love stories

We thoroughly enjoyed these two playlets. They were extremely well done and lots of fun. The transition between the 2 pieces was quite extraordinary. These lunch hours are not to be missed. I really am not a Chekhov fan, but this is really good. reply
